In this weekly feature we provide a free horse racing selection on Saturday, which includes our expert analysis and a handicapping lesson.
Race 5 at Santa Anita on Saturday, December 28, 2024, 4:33 pm ET post time
Pace Scenario: Uncle Chilly is the likely pacesetter, but he may get some pressure from any one of the first time starters.
Free AGOS Selection: # 5 CANANI (9/2) – this 3yo son of Pavel ran a big race first time out. He broke slowly in the turf sprint, losing his best chance, but then proceeded to make a good sneaky run. Beaten only 2 1/4 lengths for all the money, this guy doesn’t have to improve much to get into the winner’s circle. His sire is much better with dirt runners, and there is plenty of dirt influence on the bottom side of the pedigree. Big work coming into this indicates he is ready to fire.
Wagering Suggestions: Play # 5 to Win and Place.
Last free horse racing selection: Lost at Aqueduct.
