In this weekly feature we provide a free horse racing selection on Saturday, which includes our expert analysis and a handicapping lesson.
Race 8 at Monmouth Park on Saturday, August 17, 2024, 4:16 pm ET post time
Pace Scenario: Look for Geroux to send our free horse racing selection to the front to dictate the way.
Free AGOS Selection: # 4 EVERSO MISCHIEVIOUS (3/1) – stretches out to two turns in his third start of the year for trainer Brad Cox. The Grade 2 Forty Niner winner is the possible lone speed on a track that is almost always favorable to the early speed runners. But even if the lead isn’t his for the taking, jockey Flo Geroux will have this guy up and on the pace and in position to be the one to beat down the lane. This colt was first or second in six of seven starts last year including two with Geroux aboard. This is Florent’s lone mount on the card (along with Mike Smith’s mount). I believe the Cox runner is sitting on a winning effort this afternoon.
Wagering Suggestions: Play # 4 to Win. Exacta partwheel with 5, 6. Reverse for half.
Last week’s horse racing selection: Race 2nd at 7-1, paid $8.78 to place.
