Woodbine Horse Racing – When Will It Happen?

As of March 15, Woodbine Racetrack is temporarily closed to the public for two weeks following the recommendation of the Canadian Government in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The thoroughbred opening day remains scheduled for April 18, but will be subject to an ongoing assessment of the situation. Read more

Harness Racing – Mohawk Park

As of March 15, Woodbine Mohawk Park is temporarily closed to the public for two weeks following the recommendation of the Canadian Government in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of March 20, standardbred racing at Mohawk Park has been suspended until further notice. Read more

Queen’s Plate

We continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and are aware of the City of Toronto’s announcement regarding the cancellation of all City-led major mass participation events. As a result, we have made a decision to postpone the Queen’s Plate to a later date this year. Please Note: Existing ticket holders have the option to either keep their reserved seats for the new date OR receive a full refund (incl. fees) at any time between now and the new date of the event through Ticketmaster.

  1. Good morning I have several people that are telling me owners are leaving woodbine not to pay training fees . My client has 10 racing age horses and is a little nervous about sending horses into the track because of training fee if nothing is being explained when and if racing will even take place
