Versatile 5yo Mare takes claiming honor

Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comMs Anna Destiny captured the first race at Churchill Downs Saturday afternoon and has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. The 5 year old mare was close early, took command once in the stretch of the $32,000 claiming event and went on to win by a length. The Dale Romans trainee stopped the timer in 1:10.02 for the 6 panels and returned $4.20 to her supporters. The daughter of Anabaa was ridden by Corey Lanerie and is owned by Romans and Franklin Smith. The win on Saturday was the fifth of her career. Ms Anna Destiny has won on dirt, turf and all-weather surfaces. She has now finished in the money 11 times from 21 starts and earned more than $113,000.
