Switching Barns No Problem for Claimer of the Week

Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comCover Price took the opening race at Gulfstream Park Saturday and has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. The gelding settled toward the back of the field in the early going and then made a bold move in the turn to join the leaders. Traveling wide in the turn Cover Price kept up the run and eventually took control at the furlong marker and drove to victory by a half length under Joe Rocco, Jr. Cover Price won the $6,250 starter race at 6 furlongs in 1:10.80 and returned $10.00 to supporters. The 6 year old is owned by Andrew Sully and trained by Patricia Farro. The son of d’Wildcat was claimed in his previous pair of races and has been claimed (purchased in a race) 3 times since August of 2012. The victory pushed his career earnings to $125,000 from 43 races. Cover Price has won 10 races and finished in the money 27 times in his productive career.
