Super claimer Rapid Redux goes for 22nd win in a row

Rapid ReduxOpening day at Laurel Park’s winter meet got an unexpected boost when Rapid Redux’s name showed up in the entry box for Wednesday, January 4.

Rapid Redux surpassed the great Zenyatta’s streak of 19 straight wins last year when he extended his amazing win streak to 21 races in a row. This is believed to be a modern day record.

Leading horse owner Bob Cole claimed Rapid Redux for only $6,250 in the fall of 2010. Since then, the gelding has won 22 of 23 races with earnings of $256,384. The win streak began Dec. 2, 2010 at Penn National.   Read the full story from the Daily Racing Form.
