Schefflera named Claimer of the Week

Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comSchefflera captured the third race at Turfway Park Saturday afternoon and notched her tenth career victory in doing so. Trained by Jeff Greenhill, the chestnut stayed a couple of lengths behind the leaders until the stretch and then worked to get the lead about a furlong out. She finished a length ahead at the wire and paid $6.40 to win in the $5,000 claiming event. Ridden by Rodrigo Vergara, Schefflera stopped the timer for 6 furlongs on the Polytrack at 112.48.The daughter of Mutakddim recorded her 24th in the money finish from 42 career starts with the winning effort. Schefflera is owned by Sherri Greenhill and has accumulated $157,000 in lifetime earnings.
