Saturday winner at the Spa takes claiming honors

Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comNight Maneuver showed early foot and pestered the leader for the initial half mile in the sixth race at Saratoga on Saturday. When they arrived at the quarter pole Night Maneuver took command and easily beat all of his foes to the wire in the 7 furlong event. The 4 year old gelding stopped the timer in 1:23.44 in the $62,500 optional claiming race and was ridden by Rajiv Maragh. The son of Orientate paid $12.00 to his backers and he pocketed another $51,000 for his owners Bilinski, Patton & Contessa. Claimed by trainer Gary Contessa in his previous race at Belmont Park, Night Maneuver has won 6 races and finished in the money 11 of 14 times in his career. His lifetime earnings have eclipsed $284,000.
