With a carryover of $59,291 from Monday, $463,805 in “new money” was bet into the Friday Pick Six, creating a total pool of $523,096.
Friday’s Pick Six began with race three, and although it got off to a moderately formful beginning with second choice Perfect Set paying $8.40, post time chalk took a heavy beating thereafter. Friday’s sixth event was won by Lets Get Frisky, who paid $20.40 with leading apprentice David Lopez in the irons, and race seven was won by Go Long, who rallied from off the pace under Kent Desormeaux and paid $13.60 to win.
Saturday’s Pick Six will start with race four and conclude with race nine. With 64 horses currently scheduled to run, there are just over 10 horses per race in Saturday’s Pick Six sequence.
