Recent Claim by Owner/Trainer Takes Claiming Honors

Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comCostly, a mare claimed by owner/trainer Tevis McCauley in late March at Turfway Park has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. Costly recovered her entire claiming price with a win in Keeneland’s third race Wednesday. The daughter of Mutakddim used her speed to gain the early advantage and led the field from gate to wire in the 5 ½ furlong race for $32,000 claimers. The 6 year old chestnut stopped the timer in 1:05.31 and paid $9.20 to her supporters. Costly has won on all surfaces in her 43 race career that includes 12 wins and an impressive 30 in the money finishes. Costly has accumulated career earnings of $240,000.
