Presque Isle Downs Runner Takes Claiming Award

Safe Word stormed from off the pace and won going away in the fifth race at Presque Isle Downs Wednesday night and has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. Safe Word took the 6 furlong race for $5,000 claimers in 1:11.45 over the Tapeta surface and returned $5.20 to her backers. It was the seventh lifetime win for the 6 year old mare, who was ridden by Erick Rodriguez. The daughter of Benchmark has finished in the money 13 times from 33 starts. Owned and trained by Michael Rogers, the mare has now accumulated $113,000 in career earnings.
