Old gray mare scores in Beantown

Lindyhop was in contention while wide, and was fanned out by foes before the stretch, but overcame the adversity and closed to defeat $5,000 claimers in the third race at Suffolk Downs last Monday afternoon. The gray mare covered the 6 furlongs in 1:13.00 and returned $16.00 to her backers. The 5 year old captured her eighth career race under the guiding hands of rider Vernon Bush. The daughter of Rockport Harbor is trained by Jay Bernardini and has now earned $115,000 in her lifetime. Owned by Tonicki Stables, the Kentucky bred has finished in the money (top 3) 17 times from 31 career starts.
