At the Finish, a 7 year old gray mare, captured the first race at Arlington Park Saturday afternoon and earned this week Claimer of the Week honors. The daughter of Tactical Cat won the $10,000 claiming event on Arlington’s polytrack and covered the 6 furlongs in 1:11.17. It was her first race after being claimed by trainer Dale Bennett. Ridden by Alejandro Contreras, At the Finish stayed a couple of lengths behind the leaders before taking the lead late for a 3 length win and returned $6.80 to her backers. Owned by The Best is Yet to Come Stable, At the Finish has won a dozen times and accumulated nearly $250,000 in career earnings. She has finished in the money 20 times from 39 lifetime starts.
