Belmont
TIZQUICK (Race 2 @BEL, September 21, 2014, 7 furlongs, Stakes) The fourth choice bobbled at the start then lunged and was then bumped by a foe and began last. She was then used hard to move into contention but the traumatic start and hard ride forced her out of the hunt.
Churchill
HOMETOWN LEGEND (Race 10 @CD, September 20, 2014, 6 ½ furlongs, Claiming $5,000) The second choice chased the pace closely behind a wall of foes down the backstretch. He made progress along the rail and was within a couple of lengths of the lead when a horse in front slowed down and he was then forced to check very hard and retreated, in position, costing him all hope of victory. He rallied again and ran well on the inside to gain third.

Remington
Southern Prospect (Race 3 @RP, September 20, 2014, One mile turf, MSW) The favorite was away and stayed in mid-pack advancing gradually and rallied when the field entered the far turn. She could not free herself from behind a wall of horses at the top of the stretch and tried to find room on the rail. She was checked past the 3/16th pole and was in a constant state of neutral under tight restraint for nearly an eighth of a mile. Long before she could get free the top three finishers closed on the outside and she didn’t have a chance, but ran with determination finishing fourth. By far the best in the race with the worst luck of all.
