AQUEDUCT
Fly Ash (Aqueduct – 1/7/16 – Race #4 – #11 – One mile inner track) – Rider Kendrick Carmouche had the assignment, and had everything going her way. She kicked out at the 1/8th pole and started to find her best stride and even had the lead for a jump or two. However, she was bested by a late flying runner and wrapped up to keep gas in the tank.
Pushme Pullyou (Aqueduct – 1/7/16 – Race #5 – #6 – 1 1/16 inner track) – Manny Franco in the irons for Joe Orseno, and was checked up into the first turn and was bothered badly. She had to wheel out into the three or four path and lost a heap of ground. Once she got herself in order, there was a solid effort shown from the 3/8th’s pole to the wire. A clean trip for this filly may have her in the catbird seat next time out.
Fox Rules (Aqueduct – 12/30/15 – Race #8 – #4 – 1 1/16 inner track) – Top Finger Lakes jock Jaime Rodriguez had the call and set the pace when the track was playing kind to stalkers and closers. This guy shipped in from Finger Lakes and appeared to enjoy the inner track. He’ll rock them to sleep next out as the weather gets colder and the track tightens up.

Gabby’s Brown (Aqueduct – 1/1/16 – Race #9 – #7 – 6f inner track) – Jose Ortiz in the irons for Michelle Nevin, and this gal was looking nice all the way around, and at the 1/4 pole she was locked in the box and hemmed in. She couldn’t shake free and had some give and take bumping. A cleaner trip with a glimpse of a seem and she’ll turn out the lights.
GULFSTREAM PARK
Grey Glory (Gulfstream Park – 1/7/16 – Race #6 – #5 – 6 1/2f main course) – Luis Saez had the call for trainer Thomas Albertrani, and they plain out hooked a monster on this day by the name of Deep Sea. Saez set the tempo and did an excellent job guiding his mount. Anyone but Deep Sea in the race, and this guy wins for fun.
Enchantress (Gulfstream Park – 1/8/16 – Race #8 – #3 – 6 1/2f main track) – Top jock Joel Rosario had the call for Todd Pletcher, and this gal was bumped soundly at the start. Rosario did an excellent job getting this gal to settle out and was all over the track trying to pick up steam down the lane. She looked a little green, and you can bet dollars to donuts Pletcher will have her all cranked up next up.
SANTA ANITA
Let’s Meet in Rio (Santa Anita – 1/9/16 – Race #6 – #3 – 6 1/2f dirt) – Kent Desormeaux handled the mount for Bob Baffert. He was in high gear rounding the final turn, and when he angled out was bumped soundly at the 3/16th’s pole. Give him pace and a clear path and it may be lights out.
