New Englander honored as top claimer of the week

Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comKhan of Khans won the sixth race at Suffolk Downs on Saturday afternoon and has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. The 7 year old broke well and seized the lead within the opening quarter and showed the rest of the field where to find the finish line. The son of Storm Boot covered the 5 furlongs on the turf in 59.10 seconds and won by nearly 3 lengths. The tough gelding returned a whopping $43.20 for his winning effort in the $8,000 claiming event. It was the 13th win for Khan of Khans, who was ridden by Pierre Tomas. The Matthew Clarke trainee has now finished in the money in 27 of 58 career races and has accumulated approximately $241,000 in earnings. Khan of Khans in owned by Genesis Racing Stable.
