New Barn, Another Victory

One King’s Man came from off the pace to win the seventh at Churchill Downs last Friday and has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. The 4 year old stayed near the rear of the field and began to move when the group of $50,000 claimers got to the quarter pole. The gelding made his move and was even with the leader at the furlong marker, and then proceeded to get to the wire first by a length. Shaun Bridgmohan rode the winner to his sixth career victory in a time of 1:36.98 for a mile. It was the first effort for the son of K One King as a member of the Brad Cox barn. The trainer claimed him out of his last race for $40,000. Owned by Lucky 7 Stable, the Louisiana bred has now earned more than $200,000 in lifetime earnings from 24 starts. One King’s Man has finished in the money 16 times.
