Mountaineer Claimer earns Weekly Honor

Trust Me T wired a field of $7,500 claimers after a three month vacation going 5 ½ furlongs, and paid $12.40 to win. The Doug Shanyfelt trainee outlasted a stable mate and won the event by a neck, stopping the timer in 1:08.34. Ridden by high percentage jockey T.D. Houghton, the chestnut mare tallied her eighth career win, all of which have come at Mountaineer. The daughter of Trust n Luck has finished in the money 14 times from 23 lifetime starts. Trust Me T now has a career bankroll of approximately $54,000 and is owned by Jodi Kirk.
