Monmouth Racehorse honored

Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comJersey Kiss won the fourth race on the Fourth of July at Monmouth Park and has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. Jersey Kiss, a 6 year old gelding, stalked a pair of embattled pacesetters and took the lead just past the quarter pole and rolled to victory under jockey Victor Santiago. The son of Defrere covered the 6 furlongs in 1:11.37 while winning by an easy 4 lengths over the $5,000 claiming field. The Ed Coletti trainee recorded his fifth career win and returned $9.20 to his supporters. Owned by Albert Harris, Jersey Kiss has now finished in the money in 13 of 29 lifetime races and has career earnings exceeding $252,000.
