Golden Gate Re-opening on Thursday

Golden gate turf breakGolden Gate Fields, shut down because of the coronavirus on April 2, will resume racing Thursday after receiving clearance from the Alameda County Public Health Office. Racing will be held under strict protocols and without spectators.

“We are appreciative of the cooperation we received from the Alameda County Health officials to protect their citizens while providing us the opportunity to protect our community by continuing live racing in Northern California,” Aidan Butler, The Stronach Group’s Executive Director of California Racing Operations, said in a statement.
