Due to Heavy Rains, Santa Anita Racing Cancelled for Saturday and Monday

Rainy Forecast: Santa Anita Cancels Saturday Card, Reschedules RacesWith heavy rain in the forecast, Santa Anita Park has announced there will be no live racing on Monday. Santa Anita will instead run Friday, Jan. 20, which was originally scheduled to be an off-day.

Although there is no racing this Saturday and Monday, Santa Anita will be open as planned for live racing this Sunday, with first post time for an eight-race card, consisting of all main track races, at 12:30 p.m.

The Grade III, $200,000 La Canada Stakes, originally scheduled for Saturday, will now be run this Sunday. The La Canada, for fillies and mares at a mile and one sixteenth, has been carded as Sunday’s seventh race, with assigned post time at 3:29 PT.

With sunny skies forecast next week, Santa Anita will run next Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with first post time each day at 12:30 p.m.
