Claimer of the Week: Victory North of the Border

Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comTapitdar stalked the early pace and made a winning move inside the final pole to capture the sixth race at Woodbine Wednesday night. Tapitdar has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. The 7 year old shipped in from New York and covered the 7 furlongs on the Toronto polytrack in 1:23.83 defeating fellow $8,000 claimers by more than a length. He paid $6.90 to his backers when his fourth career victory was made official. Trained by James Bond the chestnut gelding turned back from a sprint and moved from the turf to the polytrack to record his win at Woodbine. Ridden by Patrick Husbands, the son of leading sire Tapit and has finished in the money 10 of 26 races. Owned by Tina Marie Bond, the chestnut has accumulated career earnings of $141,000.
