Claimer of the Week: Too Clever is too fast

Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comToo Clever by Half stalked the early pace, was steadied, then swung wide and closed to win the eighth race at Laurel Saturday afternoon by a couple of lengths. It was the tenth career win for the daughter of With Distinction, who stopped the timer at 1:05.39 for the 5 ½ furlongs over a fast track. The seven year old returned $12.40 to her backers when the race for $7,500 claimers became official. Ridden by Jevian Toledo, the Hugh McMahon trainee has finished in the money 16 times (top 3) from 31 career outings. Owned by Danny Limongelli, the dark bay mare has now accumulated $278,000 in lifetime earnings.
