Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comThundering Waters tracked the early leaders, gained control in the stretch and went on to win the first at Woodbine last Friday by 4 lengths. The effort earned the Kentucky bred the Claimer of the Week honor. The son of Artie Schiller returned $3.80 to his backers after he completed the 6 furlongs in 1:10.24 on Woodbine’s polytrack. It was the seventh career win for the 7 year old, who was ridden by EuRico Da Silva in the $8,000 claiming event. The gelding is trained by Mark Fournier and has finished in the money (top three finishers) 17 times from 32 trips to the post. Owned by Centennial Farms, the gelding has now accumulated approximately $206,000 in career earnings. Thundering Waters was purchased at the September 2009 Keeneland sale for $15,000.
