Claimer of the Week: Rockin’ to the Wire

Rock This Way stalked the early pacesetter and took command inside the furlong marker to capture the first race at Remington Park last Wednesday night and has been named the Claimer of the Week. The son of Rock Hard Ten covered the 1 1/16th miles in 1:45.44 over a fast strip in Oklahoma City and returned $3.40 to supporters as the race favorite which was carded for $5,000 claimers. It was the sixth lifetime victory for the Kentucky bred. Ridden by Ramon Vazquez and trained by Steve Asmussen, the 7 year old has finished in the money (top 3) 16 times from 32 starts. Owned by Clark Brewster the consistent gelding has now earned $160,000 in his career.
