Shaunna Alexandra slipped through on the inside at the top of the stretch and drove on to win the seventh race at PARX Saturday afternoon. Shaunna Alexandra has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. The 6 year old covered the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:16.35 over a good track that was muddy most of the day and defeated $25,000 optional claimers in the process. She returned $6.20 to her backers once her sixth career victory was official. She was ridden by regular rider O. P. Hernandez. The daughter of Kentucky Derby winner Go for Gin has finished in the money (top three finishers) in 17 of her 20 career races. Owned and trained by Patricia Farro, the bay mare has now accumulated more than $287,000 in her lifetime.
