Claimer of the Week: Lady Tames the Field at Fairgrounds

Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comLady Tamer started last in the field, took the lead at the quarter pole and went on to capture the second race at Fairgrounds Saturday afternoon. Ridden by Marcelina Pedroza, the bay mare notched her fifth lifetime victory on a fast track in New Orleans. The daughter of Lion Tamer returned $4.00 to her backers and stopped the clock in 1:12.49 for the six furlong event carded for $5,000 claimers. The six year old is trained by Jonas Gibson. She has finished in the money (top three) 15 times from 25 races. Lady Tamer is owned by George and Adam Ackell and has accumulated more than $112,000 in career earnings.
