Claimer of the Week: Keeneland runner takes honor

Lewis Cielo gradually moved and took command on the inside with a furlong to go and won the first race at Keeneland last Thursday afternoon. The son of Lewis Michael has been named the Claimer of the Week after collecting his seventh career win. The 4 year old defeated fellow $25,000 claimers and covered the muddy mile and 1/16 in 1:45.13. The Illinois bred returned $9.00 to his backers and was a ridden by Mitchell Murrill. Trained by Rodolfo Aguilar, Lewis Cielo has won 5 races in 2015 and has finished in the money in 10 of 19 career races. Owned by Jaguar on The Run Stable, Lewis Cielo has accumulated $96,000 in lifetime earnings.
