Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comStarship Captain was close to the lead and ran down the opposition at the furlong marker before winning the eighth race at Penn National last Wednesday night. The one length margin was enough for the son of Exclusive Quality to tally his tenth career victory. The 6 year old stopped the timer 1:11.64 and returned $8.20 to his backers. Veteran Jockey William Otero navigated the win over $4,000 claimers. Trained by Lester Stickler, the chestnut gelding has finished in the money (top 3 finishers) in 28 of 51 lifetime races. Owned by Bush Racing Stable, Starship Captain has now earned $169,000 in career earnings.
