Claimer of the Week: A Real Storm hits Turfway Park

Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comReally Stormy broke from a far outside post, entered the stretch very wide and still got up to defeat a full field of $5,000 claimers by a half-length in the first race at Turfway Park last Friday night. The son of Stormy Atlantic returned $15.20 to his backers and stopped the clock in 1:20.01 for the 6 ½ furlongs race over polytrack. The eight year old was ridden by Gabe Lagunes and is trained by T.R. Haehn. It was the 11th career victory for the bay horse who has finished in the money (top 3 finishers) 19 times from 55 outings. Owned by Lisa Stephens, the Kentucky bred has earned $49,000 in his lifetime.
