Stage Trip, a 4 year old Ontario bred filly, took the seventh race at Woodbine on Saturday and delivered a big pay day to her supporters. The third longest shot on the board in a field of 8 distaff runners seized the lead after a half mile on the Woodbine lawn and then extended the lead all the way to the finish line. Stage Trip paid $26.80 to win and covered the 1 1/16 miles in 142.52. The chestnut daughter of Trippi is owned and trained by Roger Laurin and was ridden by apprentice Jacklyn Wyatt. Her victory in the $50,000 claiming event was the seventh of her career from 21 lifetime starts. Winning for as low as a $16,000 tag in the past, Stage Trip has won on polytrack and turf. She has finished in the money 10 times and has over $166,000 in career earnings.
