California Veteran Racehorse takes Claiming Honors

Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comA true veteran of the racing wars in California has been named agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. Streets of Heaven won the fourth at Santa Anita Friday afternoon with authority and notched his 11th career victory. The 8 year old ran like he always does; staying behind early and gradually making progress before making a winning stretch move. Owned and trained by Richard Baltas the tough gelding was guided to victory by Rafael Bejarano in 1:10.73 for the 6 furlongs in the $10,000 claiming event. Streets of Heaven returned $7.00 to his backers. The son of Street Cry has a lifetime bankroll of $173,000 and has finished in the money 25 times from 42 races.
