Apprentice helps “Magic” take Claiming Honors

Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comBar Magic captured the third race at Gulfstream Park on New Year’s Day and has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. The 4 year old received a professional ride from apprentice Andre Worrie as he stalked the pacesetters from mid pack and then began a successful drive passing foes in the stretch to take the $20,000 claiming event. The third career victory for the gelding came at 6 furlongs in 1:11.11. The son of Successful Appeal returned $11.80 to his supporters. It was the second race for Bar Magic after being claimed at Woodbine by trainer Nick Gonzalez for his owners, Martha Gonzalez and Horse’n Around Stable. Bar Magic has finished in the money 8 of 12 races with career earnings just shy of $100,000.
