Al’s Lark notched his second consecutive victory by taking the sixth race at PARX Saturday afternoon. The tough gelding was making his second start in Philadelphia after running in New York during the summer and has taken a liking to his new home. The Bruce Levine trainee stalked the early pace and gradually wore down the final opponent in mid-stretch before drawing clear by a couple of lengths in the 6 furlong test. Al’s Lark stopped the timer in 1:10.57 on a fast track and returned $10.80 to his backers in the $7,500 race. The 8 year old son of Phone Trick was ridden by Roberto Alvarado while collecting his tenth career victory. He has finished in the money 26 times from 40 lifetime starts and has earned $230,000. Al’s Lark is owned by Saul and Max Kepferberg.
