Storm cooks at Presque isle

Cooking Up a Storm circled the field wide in the final turn and was kept to the task in winning the third race at Presque Isle last Wednesday night. Cooking Up a Storm has been named the Claimer of the Week. The 6 year old recorded his 14th career victory over a $7,500 starter allowance field and was ridden by Antonio Gallardo. The chestnut gelding returned $5.60 to his supporters and covered the six furlongs over the Tapeta surface in 1:10.36. Trained by Gerald Brooks, the son of Pure Prize has finished in the money (top three finishers) 30 times from 46 lifetime races. Owned by Ronald Clark, the Kentucky bred has now accumulated over $251,000 in career earnings.
