AGOS Claimer of the Week: Salty Effort at Turfway

Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at Salty Rim tracked the early pace, made a bold move to take command once into the stretch and then proceeded to defeat a field of $5,000 claimers in the opening race at Turfway Park Thursday.  Salty Rim has been named the Claimer of the Week. The chestnut colt captured his seventh career race under the guiding hands of rider Victor Bailon and stopped the timer at 1:16.87 for the 6 ½ furlongs. The 4 year old returned $6.80 to his supporters. Trained by Glen Thomason and owned by Colonel Thoroughbreds, Salty Rim has finished in the money 11 times from 24 career races. The son of Limehouse has now accumulated $78,000 in lifetime earnings.
