AGOS Claimer of the Week: Sweetheart of a Run

Valentine Boy moved up to challenge leaders then slipped through on the rail in the far turn to get the lead and continued well to win the fifth race at Los Alamitos Friday afternoon.  After his fifth career victory was official the gelding returned a whopping $38.40 to win. The son of Cyclotron covered the mile race for $8,000 claimers in 1:37.89. The six year old was ridden by Chester Bonnet. Trained by Felipe Souza the chestnut has finished in the money (top three finishers) 15 times from 38 career race. Owned by Fns Racing Stable, Valentine Boy has now accumulated $147,000 in career earnings.
