A Regal Lady takes top Claiming Honors

Regal Joanne, stretching out from her normal distances, stalked the early pace and took command in the stretch to capture the second race at Keeneland last Wednesday by 2 lengths. The filly covered the 9 furlong test for $10,000 claimers in 1:53.79 over a fast track in Lexington. Ridden by Corey Lanerie, the 4 year old notched the fifth victory of her career and returned $12.80 to her backers. Trained by David Alfir, the daughter of Street Boss has finished in the money(top 3) six times from 17 career starts. Owned by Walter Froehling the Kentucky bred has now accumulated over $116,000 in earnings.
