A Nomad that Loved the Mud

Bedouin Now was near the back of the field when the leaders turned for home in the ninth race at Saratoga last Monday, but made a six wide rally and gobbled up the muddy real estate in the stretch to win going away. The 4 year old defeated his $16,000 claiming foes and covered the very wet 1 1/8 miles in 1:53.31. Ridden by Abel Lezcano while capturing his fourth lifetime race, Bedouin Now rewarded his backers with a whopping $58.50 win ticket (for a $2 wager). Trained by Eugene Reiff and owned by Lil Red Rooster Racing, the bay colt has finished in the money (top 3) 13 times from 27 career starts. The son of Harlington has now accumulated $147,000 in lifetime earnings.
