A Joyful Winner at Oaklawn results in Claimer of the Week award

Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comSheer Joy won the second race at Oaklawn Park on Friday and has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. The chestnut mare raced in mid-pack most of the 6 furlongs and made her move when entering the stretch. She wore down the opposition and took the lead just past the furlong pole and recorded a victory of 2 lengths in the $5,000 claiming event. Ridden by Joshua Navarro, the 6 year old stopped the clock in 1:12.81 and returned a whopping $20.80 to her backers. The daughter of Gilded Time has now won 9 times in her career and is owned and trained by John E. Cox. After 31 lifetime races she has earned over $63,000 and finished in the money 19 times.
