A Good Platitude Wins Every Time

Horse Racing Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comPlatitude stalked an early leader and wore down that rival to take the seventh race at Oaklawn Park Friday afternoon and earned theagameofskill.com Claimer of the Week Award. Trained by Canada’s top trainer, Mark Casse, Platitude was making his first start since running against tougher at Churchill Downs in November. The son of Yes It’s True covered the 6 furlongs in 1:10.58 in the $40,000 optional claiming event. Despite the big class drop the colt paid a handsome $21.60 to win (for every $2 wagered) and was ridden by jockey Ricardo Santana. The 4 year old has now won 4 races and has finished in the money 6 times from 10 lifetime starts. Owned by Stoneway Farm, Platitude has now earned $149,000 in career earnings.
