A Best Effort at Woodbine earns Horse Racing Claiming Award

Claimer of the Week at AGameofSkill.comValid’s Best came back after a near five month layoff to win the fifth race at Woodbine on Wednesday night and has been named the agameofskill.com Claimer of the Week. The gelding came from off the pace, engaged in a serious battle for the lead in mid-stretch and prevailed by a neck to win the $8,000 claiming contest. The son of Best of the Bests covered the 7 furlongs in 1:24.84 racing over the Polytrack in Toronto. His supporters received $8.40 on a win ticket and Omar Moreno was the winning rider. The 5 year old raced only once in 2012, came back after a 13 month rest and won in his first attempt this year back in May. Trained by Ralph Biamonte, Valid’s Best has won 4 races and finished in the money 9 of 15 starts. Owned by CEC Farms, Valid’s Best has earned $142,000 in his career.
